Accounting Manager – Financial Services

Location: Miami

Salary: $85,000 – $110,000 per year, depending on experience

About the Opportunity

A private investment group is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to support accounting and financial reporting across multiple entities and investments.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a multi-entity environment, managing diverse investment-related accounting activities, analyzing financial information, and working closely with both internal teams and outsourced accounting resources.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, excellent attention to detail, solid Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate accounting records for multiple entities and investments across various asset classes.
• Perform and review monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Process and review vendor payments, invoices, and account statements.
• Record and reconcile corporate credit card transactions and expenses.
• Record and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.
• Generate customer/vendor invoices and account statements as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, payments, receivables, payables, payroll, purchase orders, invoices, and other financial transactions.
• Supervise, coordinate, and review accounting work performed by outsourced accounting resources.
• Review accounting activity across multiple entities and ensure transactions are properly recorded and supported.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, irregularities, and financial inquiries.
• Analyze current and historical financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare financial reports, management reports, budgets, and financial projections.
• Assist management with financial analysis and other accounting-related projects.
• Support the timely completion of month-end and year-end accounting processes.
• Perform other accounting and financial duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA license or progress toward CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience, ideally currently working as an Audit Senior.
• Experience in Financial Services, Investments, Private Equity, or Real Estate is a plus.
• Experience reviewing offshore/outsourced accounting work is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience working with multiple entities is highly preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including:
• Pivot Tables
• VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP
• Data analysis and reconciliation
